Russian Leaders

From the angelic rhythm of the snow scene to the unforgettable and unmistakable melody of the Russian Dance, the score of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker has become a holiday season staple. And the music truly comes to life when dancers float across the stage in satin point shoes and shimmering tutus.

More About

This season The Moscow Ballet brings its version of Clara’s adventure to the desert on its 20th anniversary tour. As has been the case for the last two decades, the show takes the audience on the holiday adventure of a young girl and her Christmas toy, a magical nutcracker. After Clara saves the Nutcracker from the Rat King, the pair travels to the Land of Sweets, where Clara receives the gift of dance from all of the Nutcracker's friends. Bringing together the highest caliber of Russian ballet and a classic holiday story, the performance promises larger-than-life puppets, nine hand-painted backdrops with 3-D effects, and hundreds of exquisite costumes.
