Block Buster

When you’re still toting around a laptop you bought your freshman year of college, seeing a toddler play on a tablet like it’s no big whoop is nothing short of infuriating. At risk of yelling about hooligans on our lawn, et cetera, we’ll simply say that when we requested toys from Santa they were decidedly low-tech.

More About

Unless you want to answer the question, “What is a LEGO?” from your jerk nieces and nephews who just got brand-effin’-new Furbys, best head to Arizona Science Center for a day of building with blocks at “LEGO Travel Adventure.” In the exhibit, on view through Tuesday, January 1, are exotic dioramas to inspire visitors to build vehicles like planes, cars, and boats. They’ll have fun, and probably you’ll leave less pissed about the Furby comeback.
