First came Dads are the Original Hipsters. Then Portlandia announced that the 1890s are experiencing a rebirth in the Northwest. Somewhere between the two is filmmaker Andrew Beck Grace's premise for the documentary Eating Alabama. In it, a husband and wife relocate to Alabama and attempt to live off of the land as their grandparents did. That meant consuming locally produced and in-season grub year-round.
