Letterpress Is All the Rage -- and Part of Its History Is Being Preserved in Arizona
By Claire Lawton
Michigan import Rebecca Green is quickly making a name for herself in the downtown arts scene. An illustrator, fine artist, and occasional stop-motion animator, Green produces work that portrays everyday real-world issues in young, fantastical, and otherwise unworldly ways — "real life magic," as Green calls it. She currently works out of The Lodge on Grand Avenue.
Where do you find inspiration for your work?: Everyday life inspires me. I try to find a lot of wonder in everything and those aspects form themselves into images.
You recently moved to Phoenix — what stood out to you right away?: The sprawled landscape. It took a while to get used to. — Katie Johnson
