When it comes to killing bugs, butterflies always get a pass. Unlike bugs that creep, crawl, and carry concealed weapons, these flying beauty queens get the full VIP treatment at places like the Desert Botanical Gardens. Here at the Mariposa Monarca-Monarch Butterfly Exhibit, guests can pay to be encompassed by hundreds of live monarchs as well as explore the butterflies’ life cycles, migration patterns, environmental threats, and the efforts being made to preserve them.
