Don Julio, Senor Rio, and Jose Cuervo were Patrons getting a little Cabo Wabo and feeling somewhat like El Conquistador in their hunt for Cazadores while waving Two Fingers in the air. If this sounds like your last mind-bending, Don Quixote-style visit to the Phoenix Tequila Fest, you’re probably not alone. Every tequila festival is an adventure, and this annual event features hundreds of tequila brands and styles to sample, including reposados, anjeos, and blancos -- all made from 100 percent blue agave grown in Jalisco, Mexico’s official tequila manufacturing region. Besides taking shots, mixologists will showcase the hottest tequila trends, such as mango, coffee, and guayaba infusions, while regional delicacies, including ceviche, carne asada, and flautas, will help keep that head from getting too loco.
