The American West is a far cry from the City of Brotherly Love, as learned by two brothers, Austin and Lee, in the dark comedic play, Sam Shepard's True West, presented by Class 6 Theatre. In this sad depiction of sibling togetherness, two brothers journey west to produce a movie script in a desperate attempt at saving their reputations and their relationship. But as past drinking habits and demons catch up with them, this hopeful fraternity falls apart providing a sometimes violent, sometimes humorous, and all together raw interpretation of living out West. True West , which features Kent Burnham, Clay Sanderson, Fred Gerle, and New Times' Julie Peterson, takes to the stage Wednesday, January 8, through Sunday, January 19, at Farnsworth Studio inside Mesa Arts Center, One East Main Street.
