When we last put the spotlight on 100 creative forces in Phoenix, it was no secret there were more than 100 individuals who were making waves in the local arts community. So as we count down to our annual Best of Phoenix issue, we're profiling 100 more. Welcome (back) to 100 Creatives.

Christian Filardo is currently studying intermedia art at ASU. The 21-year-old is headed back to school this week, he's already made a splash in the local art scene. He runs record label Holy Page out of his Tempe house, which he's also dubbed the Tempe Museum of Contemporary Art.

When he's not in class or producing records, he's experimenting with digital art, animated GIFs, and mixed-media collages. He says he likes stickers, hats, tapes, throwing dice, drinking Mountain Dew, and shooting guns up in the air and screaming as loud as he can.

I came to Phoenix . . . hoping to tear it up!

I make art because . . . it is therapeutic.

I'm most productive . . . after coffee and late at night.

My inspiration wall . . . has some good stuff on it. A velvet painting of a matador, tape racks, some ancient aboriginal masks, and a photo of a man in a polar bear shaped hot air balloon.

I've learned the most from . . . my Mom and Pop, Brothers Tom and Andre, Caroline Battle, Angelo Harmsworth, music scene buds, Trunk Space family, and Richard Gimbel, you are missed.

Good work should always . . . speak for itself.

The Phoenix creative scene could use more . . . people who will step up to the plate and be real with their peers and community!

The Creatives, so far ... (And while you're here, check out 100 Tastemakers on Chow Bella.)
