1. List five things on your Inspiration Wall (real or imagined).

- Sonogram of my son. - Photograph of my wife and I at a friend's wedding. - List of working titles and concepts for future paintings - An unoriginal Native American proverb translated into German - Postcard of a William Kentridge Etching, A Nicely Built City Never Resists Destruction (stapled into the wall)

2. What's your last big project? It Wasn't the Dream of Golden Cities, a project with Postcommodity.

3. What's your next big project? Solo painting exhibition scheduled for 2013 at the Museum of Contemporary Native Art in Santa Fe.

4. What's something you want Phoenix to know about you? I want Phoenix to know that beyond your vast and unsustainable sprawl; your broken economic futures and relentless topography and climate, there is a community of inspired and talented artists making Phoenix a better place to live. I feel blessed to call many of them my friends.

5. What is something you really don't want Phoenix to know about you? I secretly think that I'm making a better painting when listening to Bach, but that's easily canceled out if I'm wearing flip-flops.
