Peeping and appreciating art at the gaggle of Roosevelt Row galleries doesn't mean sporting beatnik berets or bongos, emo hoodies, ironic t-shirts, or the ever-present guyliner. Sometimes the work is just gorgeous, man. Especially if the show involves art of the wearable kind, like the beautiful bijoux of Ali Kauss, who makes jewelry in silver and metalwork, then twists the material into surprising shapes. She also sculpts earrings and rings, with stunning pearls and other stones that reference elements from nature. Just because it's hip doesn't mean you have to be a hipster to wear it.
Fridays, 5-9 p.m.; Saturdays, 1-5 p.m. Starts: Dec. 14. Continues through Dec. 29, 2007
