Brides of March Take Over Downtown Phoenix (VIDEO)
A small sampling of the brides at the event
Every girl fantasizes about her dream wedding, but her big day is usually full of compromises, thanks to messy logistics and the lack of a prince charming. Weddings are stressful, which makes eloping in Vegas an attractive option, but that still involves buying a dress that gets worn for only a few hours.
Lots of lucky ladies and gentlemen got to live out their bridal fantasies at Arizona Cacophony Society's annual Brides of March pub crawl on Saturday, March 16 and we were there to capture the shenanigans on video.
Brides were required to wear a wedding gown or bridesmaid dress, resulting in some creative thrift store finds. One couple showed up on stilts -- we're still puzzled as to how they got on the light rail.
The blushing brides met at Kobalt early Saturday afternoon for a high-heel race and mingling before taking the light rail to Bliss/Rebar, Amsterdam, George & Dragon, and finishing out the evening at Charlie's.
