Cover it in Yarn

One new idea for every day in 2011. We're talking big, small, local, international, in action and on the drawing board. Here's today's -- what's yours?

On June 11, packs of olek-inspired artists armed with needles and yarn will take to the streets for International Yarn Bombing Day.

Yarn bombing, or guerrilla knitting, typically involves the covering and decoration of public art and public places. And while a masked knitter may not have the street cred of a graffiti artist, the yarn-based street art form's been catching on in arts communities around the world.

So what are your plans, Phoenix crafty types?
