On June 11, packs of olek-inspired artists armed with needles and yarn will take to the streets for International Yarn Bombing Day.
Yarn bombing, or guerrilla knitting, typically involves the covering and decoration of public art and public places. And while a masked knitter may not have the street cred of a graffiti artist, the yarn-based street art form's been catching on in arts communities around the world.
We know there are plenty of creatives, knitting groups, and knitting supply stores in town, and AZ Kaos has a few suggestions for local places that could use a little color.
