Nothing says spring quite like blooming flowers and coeds letting off some steam during their seasonal break. All too frequently ASU is lumped into the Girls Gone Wild category, but with spring break past us perhaps it’s time for more refined fun. The university’s Deer Valley Rock Art Center hosts a weekly Desert Flowers Tour, which focuses on the beauty of desert flora of the nature preserve. Spring finds trees, wildflowers and cacti in full bloom -- but telling the barrel cacti and the pincushion variety apart can be a little daunting. Not to worry. Elizabeth Alexander will espouse her bounty of botanical knowledge on Wednesdays through April 17.

Wednesdays, 11 a.m. Starts: April 3. Continues through April 17, 2013
