If youve ever fantasized about walking the red carpet into a fabulous party filled with fashion and beauty, youre probably a good fit for the Phoenix Art Museums screening of The September Issue. The award-winning documentary chronicles the collaboration of editors, designers, photographers, artists, and stylists that created the mammoth, four-pound September 2007 issue of Vogue. (The iconic mag sold more than 13 million copies and is now known as the bible of fashion.)
The film screens at 7 p.m. Sunday, September 13. Its followed by an after-party that runs until 10:30. For $30, you can roll into PAM to enjoy red-carpet arrivals, gift giveaways from Neiman Marcus, sounds by DJ Funkfinger, hors doeuvres by Postino Winecafe and Copper Square Kitchen, and, of course, the film. Proceeds benefit programming for the museums fashion-design collection.
