The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, right? We have to wonder if the same philosophy applies to politics. If the anti-immigration folks chose to chow down on some tasty tamales, not only would their stomachs stop grumbling, so would they. At the very least, they’d temporarily be too busy stuffing their faces to speak. If you’re willing to give tamales a shot, or if you happen to have an appreciation for the cuisine that immigration has afforded the States, check out the Tamale Festival. A tamale-making contest starts at 2 p.m. Sunday.
