Time for a show that really steps up its game. The California-based Carpetbag Brigade is hosting the annual Global Stilt Congress, and this time it's happening right here in Arizona. For two weeks, Arcosanti will serve as the arena for stilt performers of all levels to learn, connect, share, and ultimately exhibit their skills in a site-specific performance.

This year, the Global Stilt Congress will focus on specific techniques including aerial stilts, Afro Caribbean stilts, Butoh stilts, and contact stilts. During the first week of the Global Stilt Congress, from Sunday May 18, through Sunday, May 25, guests will have the chance to take in-depth workshop regarding these techniques.

Week two of the Global Stilt Congress, Sunday, May 25, through Sunday, June 1, will focus on developing The Legislation, the final site-specific performance of this year's gathering. Workshop costs for the Global Stilt Congress are $475 for the first week or $725 for both weeks. Food and lodging is available in additional pricing packages.
