The beginning of fall usually means the end of a lively growing season. Here in the Valley, the cooler months mean this city will be coming back to life after summer hibernation. The revival includes the season opening reception at the ASU Art Museum, 699 South Mill Avenue in Tempe.
To ring in autumn, the museum will welcome "Trajectory," a new exhibition from Portuguese artist-in-residence Miguel Palma. Also on deck is "Ant Farm Media Van v.08 [Time Capsule]," which will arrive at the Ceramics Research Center. Performances from Movement Connections -- a parkour, martial arts, acrobatics and dance group -- will round out the two-day opening, as well as the premiere of "55: Music and Dance in Concrete, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on both days of the event.
