Last Call at Axis/Radius, Scandalesque's Sexy Sci-Fi, and Swim Social Over the Weekend
Last Call: The End of An Era at Axis/Radius, 6/29/13 More than a thousand rowdy revelers and party monsters jammed into Axis-Radius in Scottsdale on Saturday, June 29, for one final fiesta before the iconic Old Town nightclub closed its doors after 16 years. Both parts of the double-sided dance haven were packed with action as the last bash unfolded: Axis served up Top 40 and plenty of bottle-popping fun while Radius featured EDM tracks and club bangers from a number of DJs who spun at the joint over the past decade and a half (including DJ Phantom, LTJ, and Steve LeVine). They even kept the music going after last call, offering a few extra moments of high-energy dancing fun before pulling the plug on one of Scottsdale's most influential spots.
Scandalesque's Sexy Sci-Fi at Phoenix Center For the Arts, 6/28/13 The burlesque sirens of Scandalesque harnessed their inner nerds and dressed as characters from Star Wars, The Matrix, and Star Trek before stripping down to their unmentionables and showing some skin during the troupe's Sexy Sci-Fi at Phoenix Center For the Arts on Friday, June 29.
Swim Social at The Saguaro Hotel, 6/29/13 As the heat flirted with a balmy 120 degrees, the Scottsdale crowd flocked to the pool at the Saguaro Hotel to cool off. Some folks lounged in the cabanas while others played with water noodles and beach balls while sipping on sangria on Saturday, June 29.
