Luminaris is a stop motion short from Argentine director Juan Pablo Zaramella that uses shadows, lightbulbs, marbles, and a much-needed dose of whimsy. 


It just won the Audience Award and Fipresci Award at Annecy 2011, and was included in the Oscars shortlist for Best Animated Short. Take a look -- you'll see why it doesn't need much explanation.
