Phoenix Comicon Seeking Submissions for This Year's Badge Art Contest
If your sketchbooks are full of creative takes on your favorite scenes from Spiderman, Batman, and the Fantastic Four, the organizers of the Phoenix Comicon wanna see your stuff.
Event coordinators are currently seeking submissions for the annual badge art contest for this year's version of the ultra-popular comic book and pop culture extravaganza, which goes down during Memorial Day weekend at the Phoenix Convention Center.

That's because the artwork chosen will be featured on the Phoenix Comicon badges worn by attendees, special guests, and staff members during the event. Besides the honor of seeing their work worn by thousands of fellow geeks, winners will also get free admission to Phoenix Comicon.

Organizers will sift through hundreds of entries, each of which typically features dynamic and gorgeous artwork of legendary characters from the worlds of pop culture, science fiction, anime, and (of course) comic books. Finalists will then be chosen by the public vote via the Phoenix Comicon website in March.
Those interested in entering the contest can click here to download an information pack containing full details and design templates. Up to three submissions will be accepted per artist, and while you're able to use as much of your imagination as possible, organizers ask that all submissions are "family friendly and non-offensive" (so forget about including your lusty sketch of Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn).
Deadline for submissions is February 26. More info can be found here.
The Phoenix Comicon will be held May 24 to 27 at the Phoenix Convention Center. Click here to purchase tickets.
