To the good people here in the States, Russia is generally equated with vodka, Communism, and Sarah Palins formerly watchful eye. Rock n roll? Not so much.
Lucky for us, insanely popular (in Russia) band Mumiy Troll is determined to change that. MTs catchy rockapops sound is kind of like The B-52s singing lead for Franz Ferdinand, but with a mildly disturbing edge. The video for "Me Eskimo (My Polar Bear)," for example, mixes furry fetishes with some very large and naughty pickles.
