Brian Singer's 1000 Journals project aims to create a collaborative community piece in which people contribute to sketchbooks and pass them on to someone new while sharing their thoughts and possibly inspiring other people to create more art.

Scottsdale's 100+ Journals is a part of the 1000+ Journals Project. And this is your last chance to view the work and participate by adding a bit of your creative soul to the many journals on display.

Meet fellow artists and art supporters in this project for light snacks Saturday, June 30 at the Letting Go + Giving Thanks 1000/100+ Journals Closing Reception at the Scottsdale Civic Center Library from 4 to 5:30 p.m., where attendees will be encouraged to bring a journal and continue the project.

Prior to the reception there will be a free workshop (more info, here with other workshops) with artist, Saskia Jorda who has a ceiling installation project titled "Collective Energy".

A post-reception will be held at the Saguaro Hotel at Old Town Whiskey with drink specials for the attendees.
