It's brutal to watch an entertainer who's lost his fastball. It's like when your aunt had that nervous breakdown and tried to wear her old high-school cheerleading uniform; you knew that she could never again be who she wanted to be, and the whole thing ended up reminding you of your own mortality. So sad.
You may react with skepticism when finding out that Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, whose comedy act took flight almost forty years ago, are performing at Dodge Theatre. Thankfully, the aged duo can still bring it.
Cheech and Chong's bluntly named "Get It Legal" tour has received positive reviews at virtually every stop. While the tour's press release focuses on the politics driving the show, the routine itself promises to deliver the skits that won fame for the duo. By all accounts, the pair's comedic timing is as strong as ever.
