Mothers put up with more crap than anyone you know. Just think back to the rager you threw while your parents were out of town, your “secret” tattoo, your goth phase -- everything. No matter how much you mess up, your mom will probably always love you ,even if she secretly curses you for giving her a few gray hairs. Mother’s Day is designed for kids to show Ma some love. So do something special for her before you reveal that your one tatt is now a full sleeve. Most ladies love feeling fancy, and the English Rose Tea Room’s Mother’s Day celebration fits the bill. The event features a six-course afternoon tea, live music, and gifts.

Celebrate with mom on Sunday, May 12, at 201 Easy Street, Suite 103, in Carefree. The tea room is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the last seating of the day is at 4 p.m. The $48 tea includes tax and gratuity.
