Its title suggests sketch comedy involving beer bongs and the repeated use of the words babes and doobage, but Dudes Gone Wild is written and directed by playwright Guillermo Reyes, so one expects commentary on friendship, sexuality and, perhaps, an ethnocentric bromantic crush or two.
Following a successful run at the Phoenix Fringe Festival, Dudes joins the new seasons kick-off with a story of four pals whore busy becoming young men in the worst possible way. One of them has been jilted at the altar; another has just returned from Iraq and is mysterious and remote; and the others are dealing with their own, private pain, revealed to us as this comedy-with-a-message unfolds.
