What will Phoenix look like 20 years from now? It's a good question – one that'll be up for discussion during Imagining PHX.

Organized by the U.S. Department of Arts and Culture (a recently founded group that's non-governmental but nationwide) and Practical Art's Kara Roschi, the event invites community members to consider how they envision Phoenix's arts scene in 2034 and address challenges the city faces in getting there. “We are excited to creatively engage our neighbors, fellow artists, and community leaders in a provocative dialogue about how we activate positive change,” Roschi says via press release. “This is not your typical performance, art opening, music recital, or town meeting.”

Prepare a few points of your own for the Saturday, June 28, gathering from 7 to 10 p.m. at Grant Street Studios, 605 East Grant Street. Tickets (which are free) will be distributed by lottery.
