For those of us who grew up on the horror stories of Aunt Maud and for whom the phrase “Feed the birds” induces tittering, it’s iconic. To everyone else, The Wallace and Ladmo Show is just another old kiddie program -- Phoenix’s version of L.A.’s Hobo Kelly without the magic; some cheesy skits between campy old cartoons. But we are legion, we graying fans of Roger Ramjet and Cathy Dresbach, and -- like Gerald the Brat might do -- we say “screw you!” to anyone who isn’t weak-kneed at the thought of a Hostess-cake-filled Ladmo Bag.

Ladmo himself wouldn’t approve. He would want us to play nice; not to fight or give the finger, but to instead revel in memories of Captain Super and neurotic Boffo the Clown and the joys in besting Mr. Grudgemeyer. We shall at “A Tribute to The Wallace and Ladmo Show,” presented by The Wallace Watchers and Ladmo historian Steve Hoza. Tell them Fireman Bob sent you.
