I loved driving go karts when I was younger. I haven't done it in years though. I think it would be fun to ride one again and do races. I would love to take my niece and nephews sometime. http://www.401miniindy.com
Best Go-Kart Racing Phoenix 2009 - Speed Street Indoor Racetrack - CLOSED
Nothing gets the adrenaline pumping like a good old-fashioned auto race. For those of us who don't own a muscle car or have the cash to try the big leagues at Bondurant, there's Speed Street Indoor Racetrack, where you can traverse a third-mile track in a bright yellow speedster with a nine-horsepower, four-stroke engine. Okay, their go-karts aren't exactly NASCAR-worthy, but if you crank one up to top speed — about 50 miles per hour — it's still pretty freaking awesome. Each kart has racing slicks for advanced traction and ROC timing to clock your speed as you make a lap, and the indoor arena is temperature-controlled to reduce those nervous sweats. We're a little wary of the happy-hour special, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Fridays, but Speed Street's waiver assures us there won't be any DUIs out on the track.
I've visited this location on more than one occasion and each time I am met with a new way in which Speed Street manipulates their advertisements and sales to hurt consumers. Be warned that any promotional pricing or race bundles are limited to 1 racer regardless of what they tell you at first. I purchased a gift certificate for a friend specifically to cover the amount needed for 3 racers to go for one race. This came out to $50 because they had a 3/race for $50 bundle and the desk attendant said it would work without a problem. I later found out that my friend was forced to pay for a race ($25) because they wouldn't honor the bundle price unless it was 3 races for a single racer. Not only was my friend forced to pay when they were supposed to receive this as a gift, I was lied to.
Don't get me wrong, other than being expensive, the facility is decent. However, I won't return and I won't recommend the company to anyone because of the questionable dealings I have had with Speed Street. If I could recommend anything to you, try one of the other racing locations in Phoenix, they are just as good and hopefully won't lie to you when making a sale.
Had a GREAT TIME! Karts were fast and the price wasnt that bad. Track guy helped me get a High 40!!!
The employee here and the manager zack is very rude, has no concern for anyone and is very disrespectful.. Avoid coming here go to speedway or f1 racing much better and cheaper.
