Best Webcast That Should Be a Radio Show Phoenix 2009 - The Jeff Farias Show

Actually, by the time this Best Of makes it to print, the title of the show might be Best Webcast That's Finally a Radio Show. Longtime liberal talk-show host Jeff Farias, who used to park himself behind the mike at KPHX 1480 AM, the former home of the ultra-lefty NovaM Radio network, parted ways with his bosses in 2008, months before NovaM self-destructed. (Progressive talk has returned to 1480, but NovaM remains moribund.) Indeed, by the time NovaM had become a footnote in AM history, Farias had already moved his fiercely loyal fan base to the Internet, where he produced thejefffariasshow.com, a live Webcast for three hours daily. For this, viewers have tuned in and called in, despite Farias' absence anywhere on the radio dial. More recently, Farias has taken on his unapologetic liberalism back to the AM format, and he can be heard on Christian station KXXT 1010 AM from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Yes, you heard right: It's a Christian station. Told you Jesus was a Democrat. Anyway, the rollicking, anything-goes Webcast continues live daily from 3 to 6 p.m., emanating from the studio in Farias' garage. But something tells us Farias will soon be replicating his Webcast online for another entity. Just can't keep a good liberal down, it seems.

I must say a few words about TJFS even if I dont know a thing about other talented people in Phoenix.Im from Sweden, our media is good and free.I had in mind to tune in BBC,it was a habit then, when I by accident heard Jeffs voice. That event, about 3 monhts ago, have turned my life up side down...the timedifference is 9 hours.Jeff is unique, its hard to understand how he manage to catch all the interesting guests of global interest. Its also hard to understand how he can be so well informed in so many different topics. He must be a good organizer even if I think he has good people around him.Jeff has really proved that our world is small and its best for us all if we work together in concent, with mutual respect we can do it.

Jeff is one of the Best liberal talk shows in the Valley. He started out with with the TRUTH TO POWER show with Kyrsten Sinema. At first I thought he was fair at best, but over time and changes at 1480 Nova M where he had his own show he just gets better and better and more down to earth liberal politics. I do believe his best days are yet to come.

This is well-deserved as Jeff has the best three hours daily for any rational minded listener of the world. Jeff offers a down-to-Earth examination of politics and culture, especially talking a local look, that never insults or offends but enlightens; Jeff takes calls from listeners and encourages their self-expression. Hey . . . you wanna good time? You wanna hear whats happening and gain something real? Then youll have to tune your computer to Jeffs show, Monday through Friday, from 3 -6 PM. And sometimes he plays an hour of great music after his show.

When Jeff was formerly heard on KPHX last year, he was the heart and soul of the Progressive Community, the nexus of local concern and positive action. The Valley has no other personality around, then or now, that can match the effect Jeff Farias has had, and continues to have, on the community. Today, he continues online.

Yes, you cant keep a good Liberal down. Tune in to The Jeff Farias Show to find out why.
