Nowicki Knows Best
Dan Nowicki at the Repug's Plugged In blog mentioned my post about his paper's fetish for reporter mug shots in a humorous retort on Thursday, and Doug MacEachern wrote a funny post to my blog item, even after I called the guy a "ferret face." So I must give credit where due. I may be prettier than MacEachern, but the dood's got a sense of humor, even if he does resemble a massive polecat. Little known fact: MacEachern once wrote for the New Times way back in the Dark Ages (better known as the '80s)
Nowicki's Plugged In blog, BTW, is one of the few local blogs I check on a regular basis, along with Greg Patterson's espressopundit.com. Both usually have some good shit on their blogs, and proof of this in Nowicki's case is his blog on my item. Now if that ain't a blog daisy chain, I'll eat my left shoe.
Nowicki states that he doesn't "recall any glamour-pusses on the New Times staff, either," which means he doesn't know us very well. On the editorial side alone, we've got at least three certifiable dimes, and yeah, they're younger than any of you alter kocker Repugs by a long shot. Plus the sales force and production staff is full of smokin' hot bods. So, my heart goes out to you, pallie, it really does. Usually the ugly people here go work for the Repugnant.
On the other hand, I've got a mad crush on Repug writer Patricia Biggs, and am jealous as hell that Nowicki gets to pass her in the hallway. Ever think of applying over here, Patricia? Could be a solid move -- um, at least for me...
