Beam Me Up

Stargazing is no longer reserved for Girl Scouts and Spock enthusiasts desperate to catch a glimpse of the Enterprise. In a city with such unique terrain and a large supply of black sky, there’s no reason not to join the other star gazing devotees and take a look up.

On Friday, local astronomy extraordinaire, Bill Dellinges will host a 45-minute lecture discussing the essence of the planets and stars and take participants on a constellation tour. Star Talk attendees will also have the opportunity to gaze at celestial phenomena through a small telescope.

Fri., Nov. 18, 7:30 p.m.; Fri., Dec. 16, 7:30 p.m., 2011
