Best in Show
Few artists have fully captured the essence of the Chihuahua like the anonymous painter whose giant, colorful depiction hangs in the Ingleside Animal Hospital lobby. This small dog with a larger-than-life attitude jumps from the canvas. That big doggy attitude also provides the spark behind Herberger Theater’s Lunch Time Theater presentation …and the chihuahua II. Like the proud beast, Dina and Carley (played by Karen Burns and Debra Rich) operate over their heads, fronting the Living Legacy Detective Agency where they “help you find yourself.” Don’t choke on your sandwich laughing as this dynamic duo deals with celebrities, talk show hosts, big-money aspirations, office fiascos, and their own frantic quest for love, happiness, and self-awareness. Just like a real Chihuahua.
Bring lunch, or order ahead, for the show at 12:10 p.m. Thursday, August 14, at the Herberger Theater, 222 East Monroe Street. Tickets are $6. Call 602-254-7399 or visit www.herbergertheater.org.
Tuesdays-Thursdays, 12:10 p.m. Starts: Aug. 5. Continues through Aug. 14, 2014
