By the Horns
Those suffering from Scottsdale bull fatigue (of the red and mechanical varieties) can buck their boredom at Running of the Bulls USA on Friday, October 14. More than 30 1500-pound bulls will run six races down a quarter-mile track in downtown Cave Creek.
Organizers expect the run to bring in a few thousand sprinters who, after signing a slew of safety releases and agreements, will be free to run for their lives while racing the bulls to the final pen.
Its the fourth time the organization has produced a bull run, loosely inspired by the 400-year-old tradition in Pamplona, Spain. Itll also be the fourth time theyve given PETA activists something to do on the weekend.
Fri., Oct. 14, 4 p.m.; Sat., Oct. 15, 11 a.m.; Sun., Oct. 16, 11 a.m., 2011
