Zarco Guerrero wants to teach us to laugh in the face of death during this years Día de Los Muertos holiday.
The master sculptor a mask-making guru who has honed his skills studying worldwide for more than 30 years created a series of Día de Los Muertos-inspired works called Calacas Encantadas (enchanted skulls). On Sunday, October 18, he showcases them and dishes about the sacred holiday during his Day of the Dead: A Storytelling Celebration.
Guerrero whose expertise on Latino and Native American visages is sought from all over the United States and Mexico will display his exotic masked characters while getting all storyteller-like on the crowd at ASU Kerr Cultural Center.
