What happens when one man juggles three ladies? If you’re a follower of polygamist leader Warren Jeffs, you supposedly get in good with the Heavenly Father. More likely, you’ll just end up with a frantic schedule and an empty wallet.

In Boeing Boeing, opening at Phoenix Theatre on Wednesday, August 24, protagonist Bernard is run ragged when a change to the daily jet timetable causes his three stewardess girlfriends to start arriving early. Before the situation blows up, he whittles the trio down to one, passing off another of his ladies to a former school chum and letting the third go free.

The production, which recently saw a revival on Broadway, is based on the classic farce by Marc Camoletti and is the most widely produced French play in existence. And while Boeing Boeing was penned in the swingin’ sixties, we’re guessing the popularity of Ashley Madison and the reality TV series Cheaters have just a little to do with the play’s modern appeal.
