It doesn't take Andy Granatelli to see the difference between the cars on the NASCAR circuit and those of the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series. For those highbrows who scoff at NASCAR -- America's most popular spectator sport -- one glance at a Grand American car will make them yearn for a road trip on the Autobahn. Or at least a trip to Phoenix International Raceway, where Porsches, Ferraris and BMWs will rev their high-performance engines all weekend long as part of the Food City 250, which begins with practice sessions at 11:25 a.m. Thursday, April 8, and finishes up with the big race at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 10. Scottsdale's Didier Theys will be joined by a field of 40 racers, including Kyle Petty and Scott Pruett. Admission is $25 for adults and $5 for kids. Phoenix International Raceway is located at 7602 South 115th Avenue in Avondale. For tickets, call 602-252-2227 or visit www.phoenixraceway.com. -- Joe Watson
