Known for daring acrobatic feats, strength, and balance, Cirque Du Soleil constantly leaves us in awe as they push the boundaries of human ability. From high dives to quirky circus arts, the Canadian entertainment company has made its name through high-quality, dramatic performances.
The troupe hits the Valley on Thursday, November 29 to perform Dralion, a touring production that blends Eastern circus tradition with a modern, avant-garde approach. A group of tumbling acrobats personifies the dralions, a mix of Chinese dragon and lion dancing for which the show was named. The East-meets-West theme will include embodiments of the four elements through the arts of juggling, trampolines, hoop diving, skipping ropes and aerial pas de deux. Expect Cirque’s signature vibrant costuming (this show's outfits are inspired by clothing from India, China, and Africa) and impressive moving sets to guide the viewer on a quest for harmony between humans and nature.
