Triskaideskaphobia might make the hearts of the afflicted jump every time the number 13 pops up, but who better to revel in the creepiest of intergers than the fearless folks who get their thrills skating around the Valley? The 13th Annual Wedge Park Skate Competition beckons skaters of all ages and experience levels to get tricky Saturday, March 9.
The thrash-fest takes advantage of the park's 20,000 square feet of concrete, rife with flatbars, half-pipes, and an amoeba bowl. Skaters pushing and grinding will do so to the tunes of a live DJ.
Sat., March 9, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., 2013
