Hyper-self aware, undyingly meta-minded, and, lest we forget, funny, the sitcom features an ensemble of community college students whose leader is Jeff Winger, a disbarred lawyer and terminal ladies’ man played by Joel McHale.
McHale’s character brings brash cockiness and dry wit to his study group’s favorite library table. And it’s not unlike the personality he’s cultivated as host of the snarky celeb-mocking, reality-skewering E! news show The Soup.
