Wanna be in gay porn pronto, Tonto? Better show 'em your "Oh!" face on Saturday, April 9, at the Bunkhouse, 4428 North Seventh Avenue, where Will Clark, a gay porn "star" -- none of the men at the Bunkhouse during a recent happy hour would admit to knowing who he is -- hosts the "Porn Idol" competition. Clark, a ripped hunk of red-headed man-love who does gay porn for Raging Stallion Studios (home of Zeus Man of the Year Eric Evans), will perform a strip show at 9 p.m. to get the "Porn Idol" participants warmed up. Then, at 10:30, Clark emcees the competition. An interview with gay porn execs for a chance to get into the biz is on the line.
The contest includes the Best Body, Nicest Package, Porn Dialogue and Fake Orgasm categories, with proceeds from the event going to the Phoenix Shanti Group, a nonprofit that provides services to men and women living with HIV/AIDS.

The Art-on-the-Spot Contest may be just what it takes to get that work on paper and in front of plenty of peers and professionals. For shameless geeks, the con is also a chance to be gloriously immersed in illustration heaven, perhaps sporting a costume that will land you one of the top three prize-winning spots. Contests are only a small slice of the activities. Panels and workshops will take place throughout the day, highlighted by a collection of famed comic creators, writers and artists, including Marc Wolfman, Steve Rude, Brian Pulido, Marie Croall and Todd Nauck.
