Things we know about Napoli: Ballet Arizona performs it this weekend. It is the first time any American company has staged the work (a.k.a. big deal, you guys). Napoli is what the locals call Naples, which is the birthplace of pizza and deserves all the thank-yous. The ballet is a love story that (spoiler alert) does not end with the suicide or murder or animporphing of its leading lady. Which, in our opinion, makes it a good fit for Valentine’s Day weekend and also people who believe in a woman’s right to be in love and not dead or a swan. Tickets are $15 and up through www.balletaz.org. And, last but not least, the final performances with the Phoenix Symphony are at 1 and 5:30 p.m. at Symphony Hall, 74 North Second Street, on Sunday, February 15.
Thu., Feb. 12, 7 p.m.; Fri., Feb. 13, 7:30 p.m.; Sat., Feb. 14, 2 & 7:30 p.m.; Sun., Feb. 15, 1 & 5:30 p.m., 2015
