George A. Romero once said, "Zombies are the blue-collar monsters." That sounds familiar, because if you wake up morose, stagger into the bathroom, spill the same bitter cup of coffee, and then lunge to work every day, hell, chomping your cuticles could pass as a taste for human flesh. Film collector and ASU West professor Fred Linch loves a big bowl of blood and noir himself, but he'd rather discuss the rationale of splatter that matters with his "The Unexplained: Vampires, Zombies, and Great Directors" program. Linch will exhibit clips from Quentin Tarantino's From Dusk Till Dawn and dissect the pie-fight scene -- complete with Laurel & Hardy soundtrack -- from Romero's Dawn of the Dead.
