Attention, all children and hopelessly single women of the Phoenix area: We have just the thing for you. Your favorite event of the fall, the Mariposa Monarca Monarch Butterfly Exhibit, is here.
For the fifth year in a row, the exhibit at Desert Botanical Garden boasts hundreds of beautiful monarch butterflies fluttering throughout a flower-filled pavilion. In this gorgeous display of colorful nature, its tough not to pretend youre a Disney princess as blurs of black and orange fly by and, if youre lucky, perch on your dainty princess shoulder.
Youre so beautiful.
When youre ready to come back to reality (and your nerdy self), you can learn all about the migratory patterns of the monarchs across Arizona by attending the weekly tagging demonstration on Thursdays.
Sept. 26-Nov. 15, 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m., 2009
