Everyone has the rebellious older cousin whose against-the-grain ways benefited him or her in the form of way-out music that we couldnt find on our own.
If you grew up during the 80s, you probably received a dubbed cassette of legendary oddball punks The Dead Milkmen. If you were reared in the past decade, you might have been given a burned CD filled with Grand Buffet's electro-stamped absurdist raps. Thanks to The Huge Bicycle Tour you can sample solo offerings from those aforementioned left-field foolios live and in person.
Joe Genaro's home-recording projects gave rise to Philly's The Dead Milkmen (where he took on the name Joe Jack Talcum) with its signature tune "Bitchin' Camaro" thats as classic as its iconic logo of a cross-eyed bovine. Across the state of Pennsylvania and a couple of decades later, Pittsburgh's Lord Grunge (with partner-in-rhyme Grape-A-Don) flipped lyrics with a flow as thorough as Grand Buffet's snappy pop-culture references and catchy choruses.
The Huge Bicycle Tour featuring Joe Jack Talcum, Lord Grunge, The Bassturd, and DJ Jester The Filipino Fist also hosts locals Haunted Cologne and Andrew Jackson Jihad.
