Phoenix does a swell-ish job of representing the culture of our American Indian peeps (and we better because those indigenous brothers and sisters were here way before your momma was born). But what about our Indian pals in the second largest country in the world? You know, Indias Indians Well, dont feel sari just yet because the Valleys favorite culture vultures at Heritage Square are kicking our celebratory kudos into gear with their annual Discover India Fest. The fest advocates and celebrates aspects of both northern and southern India by demonstrating its cultural harvest practices. Expect cuisine, dance, music, and, of course, fashions that weve mimicked ever since Gwen Stefani rocked a bindi on her forehead in 92. A childrens fair, cooking demos, and a Seasons of India parade promise fun for the whole family.
