Looking at Tim Allen is enough to make one laugh. It’s easy to see why he was picked to portray a dog in The Shaggy Dog and Santa in The Santa Clause film series. Though also the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story series, Home Improvement’s main man, and a perfect parody of Star Trek’s Capt. James T. Kirk in Galaxy Quest—Allen is first and foremost a stand-up comic. His career began as a college dare, but quickly proved the proper calling. With an irreverent wit and goofy demeaner Allen guides audiences through his world of quirky to ironic insight and it’s-so-obvious-I-missed-it humor. Though Allen once did prison time for drug trafficking, these days he’s about as clean as his comedy.
