Prior to the 2012 NFL season, quarterback Peyton Manning was a free agent, but he wasn't just any free agent. Mr. Manning was perhaps the most highly coveted free agent in the history of the league and it had been widely rumored that the Arizona Cardinals were on his short list of suitors. Alas, Peyton landed in the Mile High City, narrowly slipping through the Red Sea's grasp. Not surprisingly, the Broncos have flourished while the Cards have floundered at QB. And despite the Cards battling admirably to eke out wins, there is simply no position that is more vital to a team's success than the quarterback.
Speaking of which, Peyton's former team, the Indianapolis Colts, wasted no time in filling their Manning-sized void with a certain gunslinging Stanford grad. Unfortunately, when the Colts visit Glendale's University of Phoenix Stadium, 1 West Cardinals Drive, Sunday, November 24, Andrew Luck won't be wearing red. Kickoff is at 2:05 p.m. Tickets start at $44. Visit www.azcardinals.com or call 602-379-0102 for details.
