It's getting to the point where it's almost too hot to go out and dance, at least before the wee hours -- it seems best to hide in the air-conditioning and drop some ambient beats while you chill with an icy vodka tonic. That is, unless you've got some seriously manic DJs behind the tables, like the Warp Brothers, who are hitting up Myst (7340 East Shoeman Lane) this Friday, June 24. The Warp Brothers, Germans Ollie and Jurgen, are well known for their hard trance/techno sound with nonstop aggro bass lines and for amping up standards like Technotronic's "Pump Up the Jam" and Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," as well as dropping their own hits like "Phatt Bass" and "We Will Survive." It takes some serious aural motivation to get up and dance in temperatures like this; luckily, the bros are more than happy to crack the whip.
