Fresh on the release of their fourth studio album, New Again, Long Island rockers Taking Back Sunday will roll through the Valley to showcase their eclectic brand of rock, emo, and happy hardcore. There's no denying the emo-ness of lead singer Adam Lazarra's vocals — yet that same emo-ness helped propel the band's third studio album, 2006's Louder Now, into America's rock conscience, making quite a name for the band. The success from Louder Now even landed the band a spot on a 2007 episode of Canadian TV mainstay — and American guilty pleasure — Degrassi: The Next Generation. Although the band has seen its fair share of lineup changes, its sound has remain largely unchanged in the decade since the band's formation in 1999. With appearances on the soundtracks of Spider-Man 2, Fantastic 4, and Transformers, it's safe to say that the band needn't worry much about exposure these days. Taking Back Sunday are known to bring intense energy to their live shows, turning their sets into an open plea to their dedicated fans to share in the rock splendor that they so earnestly try to create, night after night.
