There's a standard formula that's worked well for the PHX's DJ/dance scene. If something hits it big in another city, be it S.F. or NYC, chances are it may just work here as well. (Just look at how well electro played out at Valley clubs after being imported to our fair city). To wit: After the all-night SoCal dance-athon Hard Dance Nation proved to be a success in August, P-town rave promoter 4EVR-HXC is helping stage a similar shindig locally on Friday, December 4. Much like the original (as well as the Mental Madness compilation of the same name), this version will feature a soundtrack of such heavy-sounding EDM genres as hard house and hard trance. Headliners at the event include such out-of-towners as the Netherlands' Roel "DJ Isaac" Schutrups, New Jersey's Italian Sensation, L.A.'s Used & Abused, Chicago's DJ Caffeine, and Philly's Mighty Mike Saga. A slew of local cats will also spin. Tickets are $25 before 10 p.m., $30 afterwards. Call 602-635-0689 on the night of the event for its location.
